Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Greensboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This quite literally may have been the best dental experience, I have ever had. I had to have x-rays, a tooth extraction and 2 bone grafts. From start to finish, check in to check out, I have no complaints. They let me know what I was facing physically and financially, and gave me every option, until I felt comfortable before moving forward. The procedure was smooth, and went better for me, because as the Dr. was working he was walking me through what he was doing to keep me secure. Check out was simple and the pharmacy texted me that they had received the prescriptions before I pulled out of the parking lot. Thank you Urgent Tooth for your help today. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DENTAL PRACTICE TO ANYONE WHO IS UNSURE! It is clean and professional and other offices should follow suit, in my opinion. Thank again. Dallas

I had a great experience with the entire team during my tooth extraction. The doctor was kind, professional, and made the procedure as comfortable and stress-free as possible. The assistant was caring, attentive, and helped me feel at ease every step of the way. Rachel was also wonderfulβfriendly, helpful, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. Everyone treated me with respect and compassion, and I truly appreciated the excellent care I received. I highly recommend this office!

Receptionist was nice! Only thing I hated was I had to wait about 2 hours to be seen. Technically that was on me and my fault. I was a walk in. Once I got back they did xrays and did the procedure fast. Great experience and awesome staff. I was nervous to begin with but everyone was so nice. Highly recommend!

This was the BEST Dental Office I have EVER stepped foot in. They were incredibly quick and efficient from the moment I called to schedule my very first visit, to The moment I walked in today. (Not even 3 days later.) Extremely kind, caring staff from start to finish. The Dentist is awesome!! He gave me several options, instead of doing what 99% of others would have. He's truly in it to help people. He never once made me feel beneath him, and was truly just an awesome Dentist. I'll be referring everyone I know to this Office. They calmed my soul. Thank you again for everything today. I've lived all over the United States and this was by far the BEST Dental experience I've ever had. Thank you!!!

My 86 year old Mother said everyone was very nice. Her tooth extraction went smoothly! While I was waiting for her, here are a few things I noticed. The parking lot needs to be cleaned up and perhaps a trash can provided. The girl with the long pink fingernails should use a tissue instead of the back of her hand to wipe her nose. And the entry to the back needs to be separate from the exit.
